The Grands Crus

Wiebelsberg Grand Cru

South-east facing, on a steep slope at the exit of the village, the Wiebelsberg is located on a pink sandstone soil of the Vosges. This is a floral and elegant Riesling, which will take over the years to an evolution of spicy notes.

Moenchberg Grand Cru

The marl and sandstone soil composed by glacial deposits give rise to a dry pinot gris, pure, powerful and full, with a fantastic length. Note that in 1097, the Benedictine Abbey of Altdorf had already chosen this south-facing hill to cultivate their vines.

This Schist Steige soil (black schist) is unique in Alsace. Located directly at the top of Andlau on a vertiginous slope, it produced one of the most famous wines. The Riesling is characterized by power, finesse and minerality. This great wine takes its full potential after a few years ageing.

Grand Cru Kirchberg BARR

On the top of the Kirchberg of Barr (marl and limestone), we replanted in 2012 a parcel of Pinot Noir, this vineyard is only worked with the horse. With 10.000 plants/ha, we hope to produce a great terroir wine in the coming years.
